Suffer the pain of discipline,

Can I trim the flower part of my tulip

Can I just trim the flower stem of my tulip without harming it for next year. I transferred a few bulbs a few days ago and now the flower heads look like a droopy mess, but the greenery is ok. Can I just trim the stems of the tulip without affecting next years blossom? Thanks!

If you cut the bloom before it dies it can affect next year's bloom.
