ok- who loves/loved the Dead

yes, I confess 13 years ago you would be more likely to find me in birkenstocks at a dead show- then in prada at the mall- but times have changed- but the song remains the same

and now I really miss the dead- it's been too long

MY DH is infatuated with them...

with the exception of a few songs like A touch of Grey, i don't like them...tooo hippy for me

Not only is DH obsessed with the Dead but he has been downloading the streaming audio to EVERY concert for months now. I only like their most recent stuff.

In fact, we went to Montauk he insisted on taking a car that had a cd player in it. I said "Oh cr@p, does this mean it's Grateful Dead hour?" He said "No, no, not at all. It's Grateful Dead 3 hours! Woo Whoo!"

He plans on listening to 40 years worth of concerts for the next 40 years.

If anyone wants them, let me know - we've got TONS of them already downloaded & in chronological order.

He thought it was so cool for a project, Maddie answered her favorite song was "Going down the road, feeling bad." Everyone else picked a Barney or Noggin song.

ALL DH does is download shows.. mostly Phish, Moe, Darkstar, etc.. He has over 100 days worth of music. God help me..

Huge dead fan saw them 30 times in high school including Jerry's last show before he died. Also have seen them as The Other Ones and The Dead more recently. It was sad to hear that Vince Welnick died, he was awesome. The Dead keyboardist course continues.

my DH's brother tours with Phil and friends (the dead minus Jerry of course)

I went to a festival when they were in charlotte and had a BLAST

I went to 10 shows in HS- it was always so much fun!

Can't we just copy our external hard drives & be done with downloading? Tell your DH, to take the 90's, the other can take 80s, we'll take the 70's

My husband probably has every show the dead ever did. He's insane! He does this bittorrent thing and you can give him a random date and he'll be like "ooh, that was a good show ... they played at ...so and so."
