Stripped of my dignity

but I have to ask this.

Yesterday I posted about the awful gas pains accompanied by diarhhea I was having. Well last night, I came home from a late dinner with DH and barely made it into the garage before another "episode" swept over me. I ran inside to go the bathroom and was in there for a good 10 minutes in such pain and not sure if I was going to end up vomiting as well. Finally it passed. About 10 minutes later I had to pee (naturally) and when I wiped I noticed a glob of thick clear/opaque CM. I freaked out and yelled for DH bc I was afraid it was my mucus plug and I am only 32 weeks today. Dh pointed out that it's common for increased discharge during the 3rd trimester and that it may have just been from the strain of going to the bathroom . I figured he was right and I was just being paranoid but this morning, I had another "bathroom episode" and I noticed a little bit more. Should I be concerned? I have no idea what a mucus plug is supposed to look like.

I remember having a lot of discharge in the 3rd tri. My mucus plug was green, not clear. It looked like snot. .

If you are really nervous call your Dr. When is your next appt?

Are you having contractions at all? Period like cramping?

My mucas plug had a little blood in it but I was also having some contractions at the time. If you are not having any contractions I would just wait and mention it at next appt.

If you do start having contractions then definitely call ASAP!

call your doctor for peace of mind but if you aren't having contractions or any pain I think that sounds like regular increased discharge that happens in the third trimester. Also from what i have been told you wont question that its your mucus plug when you lose it

No contractions. Just bad gas pains that go away once I go to the bathroom. I'm going to give it some time and if it keeps happening today, I'll call my OB.

not to scare you but I would maybe call just to report it and check if they want to see you in the office. sounds a little like what was happening to me the few days before I went into labor.

i would speak with your doctor, could it be your gallbladder?

I would call. I lost a good chunk of my plug at 31 weeks (had some brown blood in it) and was sent to L&D for monitoring. Turns out I was contracting and didn't know it, so was glad I was there. Better to be safe, ya know!

If you're having diarrhea then you're most likely getting dehydrated as well - which can bring on contractions (but I think Braxton Hicks).

Just make sure you're downing some Gatorade today!!! (G2 is better cuz it's sugar free)

Actually and don't let this scare you. My friend had the same thing happen at 29 weeks. She was also leaking a little bit of fluid which her DR said was probably discharge or urine, but 2 mornings later she woke up and her water broke. She ended up having her twin girls who are fine today but were in NICU for a while. Please call your Dr ask them to do the fetal fibronectin test and a non stress test.
