Playing Tourist in NY
Even though you live in NY, if you have ever played tourist, where did you go, what did you do....where did you eat?

Re: Playing Tourist in NY
Seeing a Broadway show and eating at Ellen's Stardust Diner strikes me as touristy (the diner part particularly, not the show!)... and taking one of those double-decker red bus tours.
When we've had company from out of state, we've taken them to the Statue of Liberty, gone walking up 5th Avenue and around Central Park, and gone to the observation deck at the top of the WTC - obviously can't do that anymore, but you could go to Top of the Rock or up the Empire State Building - and sometimes we had a guest interested in the Met or the Museum of Natural History.

I got a book (well, set of cards) with a bunch of walking tours of NYC. I had friends come from OOT last year and we banged thru a bunch of them in 2 days.

Re: Playing Tourist in NY
For my birthday, DH took me to Madame Tussaud's and dinner at Churrascaria Plataforma- so much fun taking goofy pics with the wax figures and then gorging on delish meats!
