Benefits of an Amazon registry?
I know you get the completion discount, but I thought you also got "points" or "credit" for people purchasing off your registry that could be used for future purchases?
I thought I read that someone hit the jackpot in being able to get a TON of diapers with the amount of gifts purchased off their registry.
I can't find anything on the amazon website that mentions such a benefit...
Any info?

Re: Benefits of an Amazon registry?
I don't know anything about points, but so far people have LOVED purchasing things off our Amazon registry, even people who live near a BBB and could have gone into the store with a 20% off coupon.
And I love the Thank You list!!

Re: Benefits of an Amazon registry?
The only advantage I got that sounds somewhat like what you're talking about is by signing up for Amazon mom just before using my registry completion coupon, then ordering about $350 of items (someone had given me a $250 gc as a present, which was amazing), I got a whole year of free 2-day shipping and amazon prime benefits (you normally get 3 months with amazon mom, but an extra month for every $25 you spend during those 3 months, I think). So that's cool. When I needed diapers recently, I ordered them and got them in 2 days with free shipping. It was very nice and convenient.
The completion discount does not apply to everything on your registry, just so you know, but it applies to a lot of things (including diapers and stuff). I used my completion to order a TON of child dishes, cups, plates, silverware, etc, etc, since I got ZERO of those items at my shower and knew I'd need them soon enough. Any time my niece and nephew come over, they end up eating out of tupperware... I need plastic feeding items so I figured why not.
