Bedroom

Clearly we haven't done much with my bedroom yet...I've taken a few pics but it's hard to get it all in one.
I was thinking about white drapes. Opinions?

Re: Bedroom pics - Pls help with window treatments and wall decor

i think white drapes would look great - but - they do tend to show dust (and dirt, esp if you open your windows). that would be my only concern.

I would do white sheer panels with a light turquoise (to match your comforter) sheer scarf.

That looks like my paint color - you're good! Thanks!

Now on to finding white panels that don't look cheesy or cheap!

Re: Bedroom pics - Pls help with window treatments and wall decor

wall decor i would get a nice painting or floral print for over your bed

you also need a rug to ground the room - near the bed.
and a larger rug / runner in front of the dresser

also maybe a large silver-framed mirror for over your dresser.

Maybe a sitting chair/chaise since you have the space for it

maybe its just the pics but your room seems long! very spacious! are you against placing your bed so it is on an angle coming out of the corner?

Great space Jessee!!

I would do cream drapes in the summer and then maybe blue velvet in the winter to warm it up and make it look more luxurious and cozy.

Have you considered moving the bed to where the window is so when you look right you would see the bed full on? I think it would look great that way and you would get such a nice view of your beautiful furniture.

Here are some examples:

If you moved the bed to in front of the window that also eliminates the dilemma of what to hang above the bed and I would create a gallery of frames on the left (where your bed is now).

If you keep the bed where it is, I have tin tiles from PB that I have hanging above my bed that would work in your room. Check them out when you come over on Sunday. I metal piece would look in the space too.

Another good one:

It's very long - the room is 25x15 or something like that. The dresser section is by 12 or in that range I think.

We considered that but the windows are so low to the ground. We would literally be climbing behind the bed to get them open. And I thought doing it that way may also elongate the room more which doesn't seem neccessary, KWIM?
