STAR ?
We moved in last June and immediately did all the STAR paperwork on the new house with the info to cancel it on our other property. We still haven't seen it come into effect yet. Do I need to call or does it usually take this long?

We applied for the new house and gave them the info to cancel our old place.
Pretty sure previous owners had it. We haven't seen it reflected on our bills yet.

Not sure what town you're in, but I know in Brookhaven, you apply before March something I think, and then you don't see it until December for the following year.
Do you have the stamped receipt things that show you applied?

I'm sure if I dig out the papers from last year I have a photocopy of the application. I just wasn't sure if it doesn't kick in for a year or something.... I thought I remembered December....
