Attn All Pale Ladies! Need HELP!
DH and I are going to the Bahamas in 14 days. I am white as a ghost. I have shorts that I am going to wear and need a tan- desperately!!!!! But, health issues exist so I cannot go in the sun or go tanning without sunscreen. Do any of you do airbrush tanning or anything like that and if so, where do you go and how much is it? Or if you have other suggestions- please let me know! I want something that isn't streaky or orange. TIA!!!!!

OK. I know this isn't what you want to hear but I say EMBRACE the pale!
I'm really pale too and I just go with it. I'd rather look like myself then a fake tanned version. I've actually gotten a lot of compliments from people on "beach" vacations about how pale I am.
Just make sure to wear LOTS of sunblock so you don't burn.

I LOVE Jergen's natural glow! If applied correctly, it looks very natural. I only use it on my legs to create a very subtle color, just so I don't look so pale that it's disgusting. My legs are also the palest part of my body because obviously they are the most covered up, so a few applications bring the up to the same color as the rest of me.
Give it a go!

I love spray tan! I go to Brazil Bronze in Soho but I know they have another one in Great Neck.

Then get a self tanner...just be careful and try not to burn! I'm sure you'll look lovely pale or tan

I use the one for medium skin tones because I found that the one for light skin tones gives me no results whatsoever.

I went to the great neck on for my wedding. I really liked it. Just go around 3 days before vaca b/c a little will run off in the shower for the first couple of days.

I have been using the same fair to medium and its great!!! You will love it!!

I use Beach Bum for their custom airbrush tan. I was never orange or streaky.
ETA: It was $35 for first time tanners (including the toner and moisturizer) and $45 after that (toner/moisturizer are extra but unnecessary- I've done it with or without and seen no difference.

I never tried spray tan but I want to.
For a trip like that I totally would.
For self tanner at home I just tried Banana Boat Summer Color in deep dark tan and it works awesome too!

As a very fair skin, I have tried all spray tanners, spray booth, etc...
The spray booth.... NO! They suck! It's uneven, it's horrible!
The best natural results are the airbrush. I can't remember who I went to last time I did it. But it really depends on the skill of the person. They can also adjust the color for you.
I suggest you do try the Jergen first, then find an airbrush place if it does not work.
EXFOLIATE REALLY WELL before doing it. Also, do not put deodorant before doing it either.

I live to mystic!! @ beach bum! 7 for 99! coupon is on website do it the day before you leave and I recommend doing a medium tone with no enhancers. FM if u wanna know more. But I do it while preg and it's all natural with great results!

I've been using the Jergen's Natural Glow and I love it. The first time I used the one for fair skin and got a nice color. I just switched to the one for medium tones and I can tell that it will be a bit darker. I have 2 weddings in April so that's why I've been using it!

I have heard of the Brazil Bronze and hear it's phenomenal. When you get sprayed and it starts to fade, does it streak bad?

i love airbrush tanning. However, just a word of warning...as soon as you jump in a pool it will come off and you will be pale again!

I am a big fan of the airbrush tan
I was in a wedding a few years ago and went to a spa that did the exfoliation and then the spray
HOWEVER--not sure how this would work in a pool

This is very true.. it will make it fade because of the chemicals in the pool, but so long as you keep your skin moisturized, it will lessen the fading
