Baptism
If you will be baptizing DC, around how many people are you planning on inviting?
Will this number include family, friends & kids?
We get a really good deal with a party room, but it only fits so many people, and basically we would only be able to invite family and their kids (also family haha), but I also want our close friends there so I wonder if family kids should be invited and not close friends?
What are you doing?

Re: Baptism
For DD we had family (immediate and extended) and close friends.
For this DC, probably local family and close friends...

Us too. Though I don;t think it will be quite that many people, didn't do a list though.
The hard thing is the friend part. It is so hard to cut off at certain friends...

Re: Baptism
Keeping it super small. Immediate family only so about 11 or 14 people if family from out of town can come.

Re: Baptism
This is the SINGLE biggest point of stress. Our immediate family (parents, grandparents and siblings) is 25 people. Extended family is 65 and we had to cut the list. I am so stressed because my grandmother will be upset that we can't invite her sisters but my best friend of 22 years will be there. DH and I both come from HUGE families (my moms parents each have 11 brothers and sisters ) and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but we have to start cutting at some point.

See I count immediate family as my aunts, uncles, and cousins since we spend holidays with them and my cousins are all my age, we don't talk every month, but keep in contact and I wouldn't not want to have them there. but on the other hand, I speak to friends on a daily basis, so how do you not have them there? we could choose a different place to host it in, but the room is only $250 to rent out......
