well, that's a first... updated

We are naming a name I've loved for 10+ years so we decided we would keep it on the d/l but tell friends and family who asked because many already knew we planned to use the name.

Luckily we've had a very positive response, either because people like the name or aren't ballsy enough to tell us they don't like a name we've told them we are definitively using. However, today a friend (who is not pregnant) asked if we picked a name, so I told her, and she replied that she likes the name and plans to use it if they have a son.

I know I don't own the name, but its not super common. Definitely the first time I got that response and makes me want to stop telling people! lol

Update: I wrote back "wow, I guess you really do like the name!" and she responded that she likes it but her husband isn't crazy about it. Slightly awkward since we ARE using it but hey, maybe they will end up using a different name for their future child

My BFF had 2 names picked for her DC. turns out she had a boy. she has ALWAYS said x will be her DD name should she have one. her Best friend since 13 is pregnant with a girl and is using the name. my friend was like whatever I don't own the name, but her BF since 13 tells her, if you have a DD and use the name I will be very mad at you!!! She picked the name first!!!!! I'm angry for her!!
