Registry problem...
So I am registering at BBB and decided to do Amazon.com as well.
A lot o the stuff I registered for at BBB is a lot cheaper at Amazon....
Should I put it on both registries? Split it up and hope people use coupons at BBB?
What did you do? Which is the best route to go to ensure people do not pay to much for something.... TY

Re: Registry problem...
We are in the same boat. Here's what we did:
- some items were MUCH cheaper at Amazon (like 30-60% cheaper!) so we put those items on Amazon along with any smaller accessories that might be purchased with them. Ex: babybjorn was much cheaper so we also put the babybjorn drool bib accessory on amazon too even though it was about the same price at both places.
- some items were only available on Amazon so we put those on Amazon along with any other related items that might be purchased with them. Ex: the color zip sheets we wanted wasn't available at BBB so we put all of the zip sheet inserts on Amazon. Also, we added the universal registry button and added some things from other retailers
- anything available at both places and relatively comparable in price we put on BBB because we figured people may prefer to shop in store, even though I personally would prefer to shop on Amazon especially since most items are free shipping.
I'll probably stalk a little and if we find that people are overwhelmingly buying more from one or another I may move some items, but I didn't want to risk duplicates so I didnt register for the same item on both unless I wanted more than one.

Re: Registry problem...
TY..that makes a lot of sense.
The baby bjorn was the FIRST thing I moved
The gliders at BBB are ridic IMO so I plan to register for one at amazon also...and I guess I will add some other stuff as well.
I just feel like most people will gravitate to BBB although I might be wrong

Re: Registry problem...
it all depends on who is going to your shower.
honestly many older people will not buy on amazon. if you're invitees are mainly young then by all means go for price and put more stuff on amazon. however if you're family is split then you might want to go heavier on the BBB than amazon.

Re: Registry problem...
I'm registered at BBB, BRU and Amazon for the same reasons... some people like shopping in store, some online. And a LOT of items are cheaper on Amazon.
I've only had one item purchased off any of them since people are just receivng the invitations, but as soon as it was bought off my BRU, I immediately deleted it from the other two.
I plan on registry stalking for the fun of it and to make sure we avoid duplicates as much as possible.

Re: Registry problem...
I also registered at those 3. I have a feeling no one is going to buy at amazon or BBB (my family will think BBB is too expensive & amazon is unheard of to a lot of the older ones) Unfortunately I don't even like that much at BRU but I figured if I didn't register there they would go off on their own. I didn't duplicate because I don't want to deal with a lot of returns (well, more then necessary, there are always returns )
