So I failed the 1 hour dammit
The nurse said I got a 152, I am not sure what this means but now I have to take the 3 hour 
I have been eating a lot of sweets could this be why?
If you took the 3 hour did you pass?
What happens in the 3 hour?

152 is inda khigh, thats your blood sugar an hour after you drank the drink...
I failed with a 139... Chances are its got nothing to do with the amount of sweets your eating, some of us just get gd anyway.
The good news is that failing the one hour doesn't mean you will fail the 3 hour automatically
I did, well I threw it up, but there are tons of women on here who will tell u they failed the one and passed the three.
Either way, it all ends up ok... goodluck!!

Oh man, I hope that since my score was so high it doesn't mean I have it.
I can't even believe this, I jinxed myself cause I told DH the other day I have no medical problems and none run in my family, great  ......

I hear you. Like I said it doesn't mean you do or you dont, seems most people fail the one hour. And this is something that affects everyone, no matter how healthly, skinny, fat, tall, short, hisotry, etc... its hit or miss.
The bright side was I really did well weight wise this pregnancy becasue of it, only gained about a pound or 2 overall because the gd diet is amazing...I plan to use it after DS is born this week

I just took my 1hr yesterday. I passed with a 120. But my Dr. said its ok up to 140 the most. My suggestion is t watch what you intake. Lots of white starches & sweet fruits sweets in general. I would stay away from. Drink lots of water through out the day. HTH & Good luck.

i failed with 155. my doctor uses 130 as the cutoff. ii have to go for the three hour on tuesday. they said for the three hour i have to fast from the night before. then i go to the lab and they draw blood. after that i drink the drink and then they draw blood every hour for three hours.
ive been eating a ton of sweets and i have PCOS so im predisposed to diabetes. so i wont be totally surprised if i fail although ive been cutting back on everything  that i pass!

I just found out today that I passed the 1 hour yesterday and I was SHOCKED because a. I have been eating sweet things literally non stop forthe past week or two and b. i failed it with my first pregnancy and had to take the 3 hour tht time (ended up passing). so I dont think it has to do with how much sweet things you have.
I did fast before the 1 hour this time for 12 hours prior. good luck!

I failed the one hour...162! I took the 3 hour test on Friday and called this morning to find out that I passed! I was so nervous because I'm pregnant with  and both boys are already big! When the doctor told me that all of my numbers were perfectly in range, I felt better! I didn't modify my diet to "trick" the 3 hour test at all. You'll be fine with the 3 hour!!! When are you going to take it?

I think the fasting probably helped you this time. So congrats. I didnt have to fast. So i was just trying to stay away from sweets the day before and the actually day. But for someone doing the 3 hr. i would prob do it for the week. It cant hurt to try.

Thanks I really hope so, I fasted and everything for it, I took it at 7am, the nurse who gave me the results seemed shocked that I fasted lol thats why I am pretty nervous. I signed up to take the 3 hour Monday morning.

I also fasted for the one hour. When I heard that I had a 162, I thought there was no hope in passing the 3 hour. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

I failed the one hour but passed the 3 hour (barely, my fasting was high). Try not to worry. And even if you do fail, it really isn't the end of the world. You will adjust (and honestly, I lost a ton of weight on the GD diet, you eat 5 times a day and it forces you to eat better).

No, my OB told me to eat normally. I did have to fast for the 3 hour though!

I failed the one hour with a 217.
Took the three hour and passed with flying colors.
Did additional testing just to be safe and was well within normal range on that one too.
You may very well pass, don't stress it!
