Can Use some advice RE:Braxton Hicks *Update*

I am 36w3d and I have the stomach bug. I have not really kept anything down so I am probably a little dehydrated. I have been having BH like every 5 minutes consistantly. They arent so much painful as they are uncomfortable. I really hate calling the midwife on call when its something so silly Should I be worried???

I'd call the midwife, my doctor said any sort of contraction lasting longer than an hour I should call for.

Hey! I was just going to post something about the contraction. If you don't feel comfortable, you should definitely give your midwife a call. I actually called my dr. this morning about BH and even though it was probably nothing major but at least I got the reassurance that everything is fine.
Always go with your gut feeling.

BH are directly related to dehydration, so it makes sense that you be getting them more frequently now. Can you stomach water at all? If you can, I would keep chugging as much as you can keep down. That should help. I always had increased BH when I didn't drink enough water. If you don't notice a change, then I would call. Feel better! Chat Icon

I called the midwives and I had to go to L&D for some fluids. I was dehydrated and was having pretty frequent contractions. Once they started the fluid they started spacing out a bit. I also had an internal my cervix is soft and no dialation.
