not to sound ungrateful...
but when did you see most of your items disappear from your registry? I am a week and a half away from my shower and there are still many big ticket or important items left on my registry. I am starting to get a bit worried but also know people wait until the last minute. MY DH thinks that most people are not going to shop off our registry bc we registerd at BBB and he feels most people feel it is too far away so they will just go to BRU. I hope this is not the case being that I will be 36 wks at my shower with little time to do returning/exchanging

maybe they will buy the items you wanted but just buy them at BRU instead of going to BBB.

our shower invites went out last week and I noticed people started buying stuff - we registered at BBB and BRU but some people bought our BRU items at BBB and vice versa. Maybe that's the case for your guests

I'm in the same boat. My shower is a week from Saturday and there is so much still on there and a lot of it says internet only (like my bottles) and I am kind of panicking!! The real big stuff was purchased but we literally have nothing as far as the little stuff goes...guess it'll be wait and see...

Honestly, every time I have a babyshower to attend, I always wait until last minute to shop (not purposely). I really think people wait until literally a few days before the date to shop. Usually, if I can't find anything on the registry that's cute to buy for people, i just end up buying clothes.
My baby shower is probably mid May (it's a surprise) and I'm starting to see a few things coming off. I think usually family member will start buying first.
Don't worry too much about returning items. I think the return policy is 90 days? If anything, you can always just gather all the gifts with the receipts and send DH on a trip to the store! Enjoy your shower!

A lot of people wait until the last minute to shop. And a lot of stuff does not come off the registration...

I totally agree with the PP above. Also people don't give the registry paperwork to the cashier, so it might not even get the chance to be taken off of your registry!

Hopping in here... I used to be a manager at a baby story and everyone ALWAYS shopped last minute for gifts. ALWAYS. I did it myself two weeks ago for my good friends shower. Don't worry just yet.

I'm a week and a half away also and while some great stuff has come off...there is still plenty there. People are just last minute shoppers and I expect the night before and even day of, people will be buying.

My SILs shower is in a week and a half and only two small things besides what I got her have come off her registry so far. People always shop last minute. You can wrap your gifts at BBB, making it especially convenient to shop even on your way to a shower. I wouldn't worry just yet.

I think a lot of people pick out what they are going to buy when looking online, and then forget to get it taken off the registry in the store.
I am personally a last minute shopper, so that might be the case as well.
