Our first was at 4 days, then 1 week, 2 weeks, then 2 months.
It varies from practice to practice.
I believe we had a 4-day visit because DD lost a lot of weight from birth to when we left the hospital.

DD was born on Thursday, we left hospital on Monday and DD's first visit was Tuesday...so she was 5 days.

4 days. He was born on a Thursday night, we went home Saturday afternoon and the ped said she would normally have seen him the day after coming home, but they are closed on Sundays.

mine was the day after i brought my son home because my ped did not see him inthe hospiital
then i saw him weekly or biweekly for weight checks - i was bfing and my son lost a lot after he was born

brought Dd home from the hospital on a Saturday and had her first ped appt that Tuesday. She was 6 days old.
