Lamaze
Have any of you ladies taken or already signed up for Lamaze? I keep getting mixed reviews about it...some women who have given birthmi know told me it was a waste of money and others say they wish they took it when there delivery date came and they felt lost.
If any of you have taken it can u also give any referrals we can only go on Sunday's and Monday's ...my dh has a business and all the ones we did look into only were held on nights he was working. We r located in Suffolk country.

Re: Lamaze
I've heard from a TON of other women that Lamaze classes are a waste of money. That's why I signed up for a HypnoBabies class instead. I've heard GREAT things about the classes. I was originally torn between HypnoBabies classes and Bradley classes, but opted for the HypnoBabies because it's closer to where I live. Sorry I can't recommend any Lamaze classes/locations to you, but just wanted to give my input

Re: Lamaze
My doctor actually told me not to waste my time. He said if im planning on having an epidural it wouldn't be necessary. Plus, he said that the labor and delivery class I will be taking at Huntington Hospital will be sufficient and touches on breathing techniques.

Re: Lamaze
I'm taking a 4-session childbirth/lamaze class (have completed the first 2 sessions so far) - and I find that I feel better prepared for what I could potentially experience. As a PP said, there are free classes offered at Huntington Hospital - and I've taken them too. I have very little free time, but I'm taking advantage of as many educational opportunities as I can - and I find that I'm getting something out of every one.
To each his (or her!) own! Good luck!
