Fetal Heartrate Monitor

I am thinking of purchasing an at home fetal heartrate montior. What is/was your experience? Do you have one you would reccommend? Or not reccomend? Did it work for you and at how many weeks were you able to start using it?

i bought the angelsounds monitor from amazon.com for less than $30. I don't think I tried it before 12 weeks because I didn't want to give myself unnecessary reason for worry in case i didn't hear anything before then. while you have to have patience and move it around a bit before finding the HB sometimes (after a while you'll know exactly where to check and find it in no time) I have NEVER had trouble hearing a HB and I really feel that for $30 it was worth it for me to come home from work and hear the baby if i ever had a worry.

I also have the Angelsounds monitor and I have to say, it's the best $30 I've ever spent! AND you don't even need the gel, spraying water on your belly works just fine! DH & I listen to the babe almost every night!

ETA: I was so thankful I had it after a horrible bout with a stomach virus and I didn't feel him moving for a long time. Once I heard his HB I felt so much better

I borrowed my sister in laws she was fours months further then me its the pocket fetal Doppler it looks similar to the portable ones that they have at the doctors office...i love it...not sure how to read all the numbers and what not...but just love the fact i can hear heartbeat when i don't feel her moving around.

Just be careful what ever one u do get sometimes it's hard and takes a lil time to find the heartbeat depending how far along u are.

i have one, im not sure the brand tho, ill check when i get home from work...

it def was well worth the money! def kept me sane before i could feel the baby moving!!!!
