What would you do?
So i was asked to be in my friends wedding party a couple months ago she is getting married May 2012, I am having the baby July 2011 so it's not a big deal. I don't plan on coming back to work till January 2012, so it gives me plenty of time to save the money. Another friend of mine just told me that her BF has the diamond and asked her what kind of setting she likes etc etc... So she said she will prob have her wedding in April or Oct of 2012 . I will be asked to be in this wedding, it is going to be destination, and I will probably have to spend more on this wedding, just knowing the tastes of the two girls.
I am going to be out of work for at least 6 months with a brand new baby, what would you ladies do? I have no idea how we will afford this and still live our own lives? Do you think it's even a big deal?

I would not worry about friend #2's wedding until she's actually engaged and it's planned. I had 2 friends whose BF's "had the diamond" and it took a year for one and almost 3 years for the other to actually get engaged.
I would just not worry about it at this point. If and when the time comes, reassess and do what you can do.

i agree! there's no use in worrying about it now until it actually happens. then you can reasses your finances and see how you can make it happen.

Yeah I guess i can't stress it now, I am really so happy for her she has been waiting a while for this, and I feel so selfish thinking this way, but most of my friends are in a totally different place than me in life. Still dating, only having a rent payment, no kids, so with 2 weddings within a couple months of each other I am freaking, but who knows what can happen he may not propose in June when they go away and she may get married in 2013 lol
