diaper/ wipes, where and when
What diapers and wipes did you get? Size? Where did you get them diapers.com or amazon? When do you get them? I am 27 weeks and not sure when I should order them. Any help???

Re: diaper/ wipes, where and when
Good question... I haven't done this yet and I am 35 weeks But I think I am going with pampers diapers (I think I'm going to start with size 1 for the big case) and huggies sensitive wipes based on the recommendations of btdt moms. I was planning on ordering from diapers.com because of their 20% off diapers for 3 months thing, unless anyone knows of a better place?

Re: diaper/ wipes, where and when
If you are having a shower I would hold off. People will buy you diapers.
I received 5 cases in various sizes.
I wanted to use the Pampers sensitive, so I returned a case and bought a smaller case in NB. DS grew into size 1 within 3 weeks, so I was glad I didn't keep the case of NB. It would have been a waste of $$.
Def do diapers.com after the baby is born...that way you can have them delivered the next day. Perfect when you have a NB and can't make it to the store.
If you sign up now and place an order, the 30% is only for your first 3 months.

I would wait and see... If you're having a shower, you will get plenty to start off! Then you can see what brand works for you and the baby... Some babies don't work well with certain diapers or the wipes might give them a rash, so it's prolly best to wait til the baby comes. Like I said, you'll get tons at your shower, so don't worry! Same goes for formula if you're planning on formula feeding!

Re: diaper/ wipes, where and when
We got a lot at my shower (some boxes, as well as a ton from a diaper cake and diaper wreath a friend made for me) but DD was smaller than we thought she'd be at full term and we had ZERO nb diapers at home!!! I texted a friend from the hospital who left a box of nbs on my front porch waiting for us when we got home from the hospital. Worked out just fine. If you're in a pinch, you can always do that.

Just letting you girls know that my sister has bought her diapers and wipes for both her children at Costco. The Kirkland brand is much cheaper than name brand and she even likes them better!

Re: diaper/ wipes, where and when
DD was 6 lb 10 oz and we went right to size 1. We've gone through only 1 size 1 pampers economy case, with a few from our diaper cake. I def wouldnt order too many of one size. She's really packing on some weight , and bought size 2 for her at 6 wks
ETA: we waited till we were home to go buy everything. We used the hospital stash at first.

ITA!! Diapers.com is awesome, but I would wait on using it until you re settled in with a certain brand of diapers and wipes. Then you can buy from them in bulk.
ETA: I would wait and see what you get from your shower (assuming you're having one), and then make sure you have some NB and some size 1, because some babies never wear NB, some only for like a week, and my son wore them for like a month or 2. So you never know!

Re: diaper/ wipes, where and when
I wouldn't buy a lot -
My son went straight to size one and never fit in the NB size anything .........
I use pampers diapers and their sensitive wipes - The huggies sensitve wipes are OK too - but the pampers are much softer.

ITA - my mom got me some from here and they are (for my DS) so much better than the pampers which seem to stick to him for some reason. I did love the huggies NB.
Diapers - I am still using the ones from my shower and 2 diaper cakes and my DS is 6 weeks old
Wipes - We used cotton balls and warm water for the first 6 weeks. I just started using wipes but did not want to put anything on the NB skin. My doctor and the nurses at the hospital rec'd the water and cotton balls and it worked great!
