Got a BFP who do I call first?
Hey ladies,
I am new here and was looking for some advice. I took a pregnancy test this morning and got a BFP. Was just wondering what doctors to call first...
Do I just call my regular obgyn and try to make an appointment for as soon as possible?
I also have thyriod problems, should I call my endocrine right away too? Does it matter who I see first?

I would call my OB/GYN and have them advise you on how to proceed...congrats again

Thanks again, hopefully I can get an appointment this week!!
They may have you come in for bloodwork this week, but there won't be anything to see on a sono until you are 6wks. Also, most OBs don't have you come in until 8wks..depends on the practice!

congrats! depends on your thyroid issue. i'm on monitoring just to make sure my synthroid level doesn't need to be adjusted. i didn't call my endo until it was time for a refill last week. my ob checked my thyroid levels the first time I had blood taken (at 6w) and it was normal. I just had blood taken at 12w and the results were sent to the endo since i was due to have him check them anyway.
wow that was long winded. hopefully that kind of helped!

They may not have you come in until 8 weeks. Mine had me come in at around 6 1/2 to do the routine check up I was due for anyway and a simple blood test to tell if I was indeed pregnant. Then they had me come back at 8 weeks for my first sono. They don't like to do it before because many times there is nothing to see (or hear) yet.

My OB didn't want to see me until I was 8 weeks pg. But call now to set up an appointment so you can get the day and time you want!

I would call the OB and then the Endo... I'd def call both dr's though.
