true knot
just talked to a friend who had her baby last week about her labor and delivery and it was so scary! she said there was a true knot in the cord, the baby's shoulder got stuck coming out and the cord was around her neck. i didnt even know what a true knot was so i looked it up and it's scary. and the sites i looked at said it usually can't be detected prior to delivery. so glad her baby is healthy though!

I'm living proof that those births (albeit scary) can go well! My cord was wrapped around my neck too, and short of having had a light bruise, I was fine. Glad your friend's baby was too!

My colleague just delivered today with this same thing. cord around the neck x 3 and a knot in the cord! So strange (also a very healthy baby, delivered vaginally),
