carry ons

My husband and I are trying to only use carry on luggage for our upcoming trip. Anyone know if a disposable razor is allowed? What about a travel size gel shaving cream? My husband thought he heard something about gels not being allowed. Don't know where he came up with that.

Yes, disposable razors are allowed. All liquids & gels msut be in 3.2 oz or smaller cotnainers & all of those containers must fit in a quart size Zip-lock type bag. One bag per person. You take the bag out of your carry-on & put it in one of the bins going thourgh security.

If you are going to a city (especailly domestic) you can buy stuff when you get there.

DH said all their disposable razors were taken from them when they went to Vegas last year. I went a few months later and had no problem carrying them onto the plane. Sooooooo not sure what the difference was.

ETA: I also brought travel sized everything- shampoo, shaving cream, gel, etc.

thank you everyone! We are going to mexico. We could stop and buy razers, but I'd rather not. I'll try bringing one and stop if I have to. I always feel like the rules are different depending on the airport!
