Well I'm not surprised. Brian Frons is the director of daytime at ABC and it's been clear for a while that he really hates soaps. GH is next.

I cannot believe this. I hate the view and all those shows. When I was on maternity leave, I would turn them right off when they came on.
I found this info...I'm going to call and complain. Not that it will do any good, I'm sure.
Call ABC to complain. Let ABC know in a respectful, courteous manner that you want the show to continue. Fans are urged to call 818.460.7477 for ABC's automated feedback line -- and then enter the following numbers at the prompts: 1, 2, 3, and 255 (AMC) or 663(OLTL). This will allow fans to leave a recorded message to express their love of All My Children and One Life to Live. Maybe if enough people call they will reconsider. Please pass this on to anyone who is a fan of One Life To Live or All My Children!

I am so upset to see this!! I have not watched in awhile..but these 2 shows I used to watch with my grandma when she was alive..I am so sad to see them go!!

I can pinpoint the moment I wanted to be a bride to Cliff and Nina's wedding back in 1979 or so
I loved AMC and watched it for years and only stopped in college.
So sad since it's a childhood memory.

I was so shocked to hear this, especially AMC! I thought that one was pretty popular. Soaps have been being canceled over the past few years, so I figured there were others coming, but not both.
I watch OLTL on occasion, but feel very lucky right now, b/c my favorites are Y&R and GH.

let's just say that had my son been a girl, her name would have been Nina
although i haven't watched in many years, AMC (especially) equals childhood memories of watching it with my mom on the days i were home from school.
i remember cindy (stewart's wife) was the first day time character to have aids.
what will susan lucci do?
she's been erica longer than i've been alive... then again, she has qvc or hsn
