no-poo... has anyone tried this?

has anyone tried caring for their hair with NO shamPOO?

if so, can you fill me in?
i know someone who does this and she has the most beautiful hair i've ever seen.

can someone like me do it? i have very thick, dry, curly hair. can i have soft shiny hair without the gunk of products?

tia

I can't use it because even though my hair is curly, it's fine and gets oily, I need the lather so my hair doesn't look greasy. However your hair type sounds perfect for it!

I use Deva Curl
Once in a while I use a regular shampoo when I feel that my hair needs reg. shampoo but I see a big difference. I don't have curly hair - very wavy.
It seems easier to manage and sometimes I put a dot of condition in as leave-in...works great.

i've tried the no-poo and found that after a while it was just not enough... so i switched to the deva curl low-poo and adore it! Such a change in my hair when using that and the conditioner

Re: no-poo... has anyone tried this?

1. It honestly didn't make a difference in MY hair

2. It's psychological - I NEED lather to feel like my hair is getting washed and cleaned - stupid, I know, but I just can't get past it

I use the Deva Low-poo too and definitely notice a difference in my hair when I use it!
