So my baby broke my

cell phone...

I just got this phone in Oct.

He didnt break it, or get it wet... but now its just not working....

I have had a few mechanical problems with my razr since I got it.... but since the problems always fixed itself...I didnt reall worry about it....

And now Im so mad.... I dont think I have ins. on the phone (since DH ordered it... and he prob didnt add it )

What should I do?? Is there a place I could take it to have it fixed??? I just started to look on ebay for a new one... BUT everything is so $$$....

We gave my brother DH razr when he got the sliver.... it wouldnt be right if I asked for it back- right?? (We gave it to him for nothing)

I cant go w/o a phone, esp. since I have the baby.... but I just cant see spending the $$$ on another...

Emily broke my phone from sucking on it too and she totally messed it up. the screen was all psychadelic and the buttons didn't work anymore. You'd press menu and it would make the volume go up, and most of the numbers did nothing.

I brought it to verizon and explained that the screen and buttons were messed up (didn't say why) and also that before that it used to drop calls like crazy (which it pretty much did since I got it on january) and they kept it for an hour and when I went back they said that the screen was water damage (duh) and that wasn't covered under warranty but the dropped calls was a problem with the phone so they replaced the whole thing for free.

now emily is only allowed to chew on my old old old old cell phone --- it's just for her, and I keep my new one safe.

it's worth a shot to bring it to the store you bought it from and see what they say. i wasn't expecting them to replace it and they did and even transfered all my data over.

I didn't have insurance either but the phone itself had a warranty and the dropping calls was covered so it's worth a shot to check. It just stinks that you got it from a place online cuz you can't just bring it to them to check it out, you know? Maybe you can call them?

Dh says there is no warranty.... but I dont know how that is....

Could I bring it to a cingular place and see if they could fix it???

the company who manufactures the phone ALWAYS has a warranty but it only covers certain things. if you look in the box that the phone comes from it should have the info there but to do it that way you'd have to send it back to the manufacturer and they'd send you back a replacement. that way is just a pain in the neck to me and my cell is my only phone so i couldn't do that.

if it's a cingular phone --as in that's your service -- it wouldn't hurt to go there. they might offer a trade-in (since they often refurb phones and sell them, my bil has a cingular and loses phones often so he's bought refurb'd phones) or they might be able to repair it for you or offer you a good deal on a new one.
