potty time, need help! boy mamas please
So it doesn't seem DS likes his "little potty" but instead doesn't mind sitting on the big potty. I have a travel foldable seat which is ok, but for training purposes, it moves a lot!!
So, can you recommend your actual toliet potty?
Also, did you train your little boy #1 sitting down at first? I think its easier, no?
Thanks!
OK, I must not be explaining my question right.
For BOY mommies only that trained on the actual potty in your house, what did you use? Boy mommies only because that matters....
ALSO, did you train your little boy sitting down or standing up for #1?

I started training him sitting down and I used a potty ON the seat.. not an actual portable potty..
I never used a foldable seat though.. That's gross lol I use the covers that you they have in the stall or I'd wipe the seat down and then cover it in paper before he sat down.

The travel potty seat is what we use and its not gross at all since its ours....
And I'm looking for recommendation for potties to use in our house

we have the kohler seat - it is part of the entire tolet seat - so that instead of being two pieces it is three
for an adult to use- just lift up the training part

I understood you perfectly.
You are saying that you use this when you are out
and you want to know what to use at home.. to which I replied that I use a potty that goes ON the seat
which looked something like this
my 2 yo doesn't use it though.. she'd rather sit on the actual toilet at home..

Try putting some toilet paper down first.

We went to Target and he picked out a lightning mcqueen cushioned potty seat with a splash guard.
Yes, we trained sitting first. Hes been trained for about 8 month, and started standing about 2 months ago and finally within the last few weeks will just get up and go to the bathroom by himself.

Re: potty time, need help! boy mamas please
I trained DS sitting first. After about 2 weeks he decided he wanted to try standing up.
For a potty seat, I think I got it at Target, Its a car movie one and the reason I got it was because it has a pretty High "shield" in front. Some of the others were too shallow and I had to push DS's pee pee down to keep it in the potty.

We have the Baby Bjorn Toilet Trainer
We trained sitting down at first but DS thought it was much more fun standing like daddy.

Re: potty time, need help! boy mamas please
Hi, I can answer your second question. We started training sitting down (he had an elmo potty and also a diego one from BBB that had a splash guard that we put on our toilet). But, he pee pee trained in one day and, the first time we were out we realized it was much easier to have him stand so it was really only a very short time before he started peeing standing up. It didn't seem to be a hard concept for him at all but, he was 2.5 already (just turned 2.5 though)
