Christening opinion needed

im due july 14th - the baby could come early or late, who knows. typically in my family, we do the christenings at around 3 months old. however, we're picking my DH's brother to be the godfather and he's moving with his wife to another country on Sept 2nd. he wont be able to come back for the christening if it's in October.

do you think we should try to squeeze the christening in in August so his brother can be there? his bro doesnt know he's going to be the godfather yet. if the baby is only a month old at the time, would it be too soon for her to be exposed to a lot of people? we're going to keep the christening to just close family and a few friends.

go for it. It will not be too early especially if it is only close friends and family.

definelty not too early especially in the summer - and you can limit who touches the baby if you want - but that is up to you we took my son at 2 weeks to a family party and he was fine and this was during h1n1 and there were school kids around - everyone watched their hands or used purell before holding the baby


also i would contact the church ahead of the birth - to secure your date and to take the babtism class - at my church the date is only tenative till you take the class

i think it will be fine, because its just gonna be close family and friends.

my baby will be around 2 months old
