Do you get rid of your makeup when you should?

If you do, do you feel like you waste makeup?

I definitely don't. I keep mine for years. I know it's bad, but I never notice any change in the makeup. Plus some eyeshadows and lipsticks I wear only a few times a year.

Should I throw everything out and start over?

I am religious with mascara - it gets tossed every 3 months. Everything else gets tossed only when it runs out or starts breaking down/changing consistency/changing odor.

I keep everything for years except mascara. Even that I don't follow the 3 month rule, but I never let it go more than 6 months. Other than that, I only throw stuff out on the rare occasions that a lipgloss goes bad (they do start to smell or separate sometimes) or sometimes an eyeshadow or blush crumbles, etc.

I keep stuff for years, I do end up giving stuff away that I know i wont use anymore
but stuff stays good for a long time

With exception of mascaras or liquid liners
Which i use up before they go bad

I go through a tube of mascara in about 6-8 weeks, so I never reach that three month mark...if I did, I'd throw that out though. Other stuff? Nopeeee

Same here! My face hasn't fallen off yet. Chat Icon

ETA: I do agree about mascara though- I have to get rid of that after a few months- it gets dry and clumpy. I don't use liquid eyeliner but I imagine that would be the same.

No! I keep makeup for sooo long. I don't throw it out until it gets used up or goes bad.

Depends on the makeup.

I get new mascara every 2-3 months. My favorite eye shadow gets replaced every 6 months since I use it on such a regular basis. Other eye shadows I keep until they are no longer good - some I rarely use so I woudl hate to throw them out after only a few uses. Other types of makeup usually last about a year or so and are then replaced.

Re: Do you get rid of your makeup when you should?

I go through my mineral powder foundation and mascara quickly so I don't need to toss them, I use them uip. Everything else I keep unless it's something I don't like anymore. I've never had anything go bad or get a weird smell Chat Icon
