Mucus plug?
Is increased discharge a result of slowly losing your mucus plug or is it from the natural course of pregnancy? I've been having increased discharge (sorry tmi) than usual. What does losing your mucus plug look like? Is it a big clump or can it be gradual?

Re: Mucus plug?
mine started out with a light pink spot and I never ever spot...then the next day a huge clump came out with some blood streaked...the next day or so other big clumps. I have had increased dsicharge for the a past week or so since then, not sure if thats more of the mucus plug, but i think its prob a good sign...

Re: Mucus plug?
It is often gradual, but whenever and however it happens, it usually looks like little (or sometimes) big clumps of snot. Very often, it is streaked/tinged with pinkish or brownish. HTH!

Re: Mucus plug?
I remember reading other posters stories when I was pregnant with DD#1 and for some people, it was gradual.
For me, I lost the whole thing, at once when my water broke. I was sitting on a towel on my bed waiting for the Dr to call back. When I got up, it was right there on the towel. Its so gross looking
