Up in the middle of the night and sick

I woke up at 12:45 swallowing my own acid reflux ... awesome! I have been up ever since battling the world's most evil heartburn and sour stomach.

I take Zantac twice a day already (every 12 hours!) so I can't take anything ... Tums make me nauseous ... I had about 4 oz. of milk but I'm really not supposed to even have that because of the gestational diabetes. (Carbs in the middle of the night! Oh no!)

I'm sitting on my couch right now in complete darkness because I just couldn't lay down anymore ... feeling so sick and awful. I haven't thrown up once this entire pregnancy ... wondering if tonight is going to be the night!

Sorry for the vent. Sometimes it's just frustrating to feel so out of control of your own body.

ETA I got a total of three hours of sleep last night. Anytime I fell asleep I woke up 20 minutes later because I tasted acid in my mouth. Not to mention that I was basically sleeping sitting up and my hips were screaming at me. Not my best night.

Ugh. I hope you feel better. Are you allowed to have gingerale and crackers with GD? I've had some major heartburn the passed couple of weeks too. Tums does nothing for me! I know how you feel about not feeling control of your own body. I woke up this morning, no sleep, and am crying bc I don't want to go to work bc I'm so exhausted. Maybe you can call your dr. and see what he recommends for you to be comfortable today. I hope you feel better!

i hear ya! ive been getting the worst heart burn in the middle of the night!!!

its awful and nothing seems to make it go away!!
