stray cats?
I swear I think the previous owner fed cats bc we literally have a parade of cats in our yard every day...While DD loves it I don't, anything I can plant or spray to not have them coming into our yard every day????

Re: stray cats?
If you find something that works, can you please let me know? I have the same problem with the stray cats. Thanks.

Re: stray cats?
sprinkle cayenne pepper around (generously!)... it definitely deters them without hurting them or anything else! We did it for raccoons and it helped keep the one cat away that was always coming around!

It may keep them away but it's cruel. Ever get cayenne pepper in your eye? Unfortunatley I don't think there is much you can do. You can look into TNR (trap, neuter, release) which will prevent them from multiplying but they release them where they were found. I've heard get a dog, which I have but she can't keep them out of our yard. One of them left a nice turd in front of our garage. I don't think it was a feral though, lots of our neighbors have outdoor cats.

This is what I did and it worked.. they were getting into my beds and using them as a litter box and I'd come out to find the mulch all over.. thanks to my neighbor who used to feed them.

Re: stray cats?
Do you have inground sprinklers? I'd turn them on whenever I see them in the yard!

I put moth balls around our fence and ammonia. Kept most of them away, all but the ballsy one. He keeps coming back. Dh is going tomshoot the damn thingnif he sees it. They are crapping all around our shed and its nasty. He was sitting on my front stoop the other day like he owned the damn place.
