bibs?
Do you use them from the very beginning?
I have so far only gotten like 1 bib and next weekend DH and I are going to BBB to pick up some things that are necessities that haven't been bought yet to make sure we are ready.
Should we buy bibs?

Re: bibs?
YES! Get the soft, clothe ones. They're great. Soft to wipe their face quickly and gently. Don't forget burp clothes. There's always spit-up and drool.

Re: bibs?
I'd say so.
I have a few bibs already. and I registered for a bunch more. I figure with the way they drool and eat and how messy babies can be.. you can never have too many bibs!!

Re: bibs?
definitely - but you want the ones that are kind of like, towel material ........the very soft, cotton 'cute' ones (that feel more like t shirts) don't catch anything .........everything runs right off of them -

Re: bibs?
I just started using them now, at 3 months old.
I love the Aden & Anais burp cloth / bibs to use as burp cloths. I'm just starting to put soft bibs on DD when I feed her and will likely be putting them on her more now because she's drooling all the time these days. But I never used them at all until this past week.

Re: bibs?
i did not use bibs till he was about 2 months old when he started droling a lot - my son never spit up much unless you over fed him
i also received tons of bibs as gifts so don't buy many
also i preferred the plastic bibs when i started food

Re: bibs?
also one of my friends told me to get a package of the cloth diapers(they come in packs of 12 I think)....they are super aborbent and are better to use as a burp cloth than the real thing

100% the case for me...covers a much bigger area on your shoulder/lap too, so if DC spits up while you're burping, it doesn't run off the burp cloth.
As for bibs, I did use them a lot in the beginning to catch formula/milk dribbling down the chin, the occaisional spit up.
When we got to the drooling/teething stage, we got the bibs that are made by I think Carters...they are tshirt material on the outside and have a plastic lining INSIDE, so it doesn't soak through to their clothes...but those are definitely NOT good for spit up/milk dribble...
