Gender Reveal, Help Please!
Tuesday morning, we find out what we're having!! Thursday evening will be when we are revealing the gender to our in laws (grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, SILs, BILs and young nieces and nephew). With DS, we made cupcakes and frosted them blue. This time around I wanted to do something a little different.....any suggestions? TIA!

Re: Gender Reveal, Help Please!
I found this idea off google search "gender reveal ideas":
"What if you get to the restaurant before your families and work with the hostess to place annoucement cards (i.e. "it's a boy!" or "it's a girl!") inside their menus so that when they open the menus they see it. Or if the restaurant has a "Specials of the Day" menu, you can have the hostess stick the annoucement on there or even have the waiter/waitress announce it as one of the specials/after listing all the specials of the day? Or one of you can say something cheesy like, "My wife/husband and I are still not sure what we'll be having..." and the waiter can say, "I can help you with that..." pull out an envelope and say, "you will be having a girl/boy"."

Re: Gender Reveal, Help Please!
How about filling a HUGE box with either pink or blue "It's a Girl" or "It's a Boy" balloons and wrapping it in baby paper. Then all the young kids and frantically rip it open and when the box opens, either pink or blue balloons will pop out, spilling the secret.
I've also seen people make cakes and dye the inside of the cake pink or blue so when you cut into the first slice, everyone will see what it is.
I love gender reveal parties!!! My baby shower will actually be one! I can't wait!!!!

Thanks for the help, ladies! DS is only 19 months and doesn't talk at all, so there goes that idea but I love all of the other ideas. Leaning towards wrapping pink or blue balloons in a big box and having my nieces, nephew and son unwrapping it to find out whether they are pink or blue balloons.

Glad you liked the idea! Take pics! We want to see!!!!
Just keep in mind... if you use latex balloons, you have to inflate them that day to get the "fly out of the box" effect!
Good luck and have fun!!!
