Flight to Miami...$$$ ***UPDATED***
My entire family is book for a cruise this August, its leaving out of Miami, FL.
Im looking online and the prices are outrageous!! Most over $300pp. Usually on my other cruises Ive always found it for $200/250max.
Anyone know where I can get a good deal? Do you think the prices will go down or up if I wait?
Thank you!
***************UPDATE*************
So I stayed up last night until 2am and finally booked. The prices did drop, about $30pp. I booked Miami for $274PP.
Mind you we are going for a cruise so all the sat. morning flights are SOOO expensive. Thats the best I could do
Same flight last year cost us $200, how sad... we might have to stop cruising cause of this!!

Re: Flight to Miami...$$$
I had this same problem for a cruise I'm taking this month. My parents have a condo in Florida, and will be there during our cruise time, so we booked a (much cheaper) flight into Fort Lauderdale. Fortunately we have my parents to transport us to Miami port, but there are lots of shuttle and car companies that will do the same. It's worth looking into, since the flights are much cheaper.

Re: Flight to Miami...$$$
Definitely look into Fort Lauderdale as well - there are more flight options into there and all of the "discount" carriers fly there (JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit).
Keep in mind when looking at prices - JetBlue allows one free bag and Southwest allows two. Spirit charges for carryons (not personal items but, anything that will go in the overhead compartment).
ETA - I'd check Kayak.com to see what the best rates are - they will let you select multiple airports.
Also - I am pretty sure they are forecasting airfares to go up so it's probably better to book sooner rather than later.

I know the feeling. We are cruising this summer and the price of flights are crazy! We finally decided to drive down.

Re: Flight to Miami...$$$
something my dad taught me was to book flights late at night, after 1am. Airlines release flgihts that were reserved but not booked within the alotted period by that time and the prices are usually lower then.

I have the best luck with sidestep.com (now kayak.com) and looking/booking on a Tuesday.

Try Fl. Lauderdale and maybe even West Palm Beach (though I always find better deals into FLL than West Palm). Jet Blue has decent prices usually early day but I will say that all airline prices have been up lately.
