Baby Food Question - Green and Orange Veggies
My ped wants me to start DS on green and orange veggies. I started him on peas today, but I didn't see much of a selection at all! Are peas, green beans, carrots and sweet potatoes the only veggies that are either green or orange?

That's about what I gave my DD at that stage. I also introduced squash as well.

I made my kids their baby food.
Here is a list off the top of my head of orange and green
Spinach
Broccoli
peas
carrots
sweet potatoes
squash
green beans
pumpkin
avocado
zucchini
asparagus
parsnips

Do you just boil and mash the veggies? I was thinking about making my own as well.

Yup.. basically, that's it! I made tons of it and froze alot of it.. I had a TON of it.
except for the avocado.

The avocado is the BEST for your baby right now! The brain is developing so quickly at this stage... the fat is so good for them! I give DS avocado a few times a week! It is so easy as well... just mash ad bm or formula to think it and serve! DS LOVES it!
