electrolux versus ge profile appliances?
We are starting to shop for appliances and trying to compare these two brands. Any reviews, comments, advice would be greatly appreciated!

Re: electrolux versus ge profile appliances?
We had GE Profile in our apt-- it was what was there initially in white, and then we replaced with stainless. We were happy with them. We have GE monogram here, and I think I liked the Profile better and I think they are about the same "age".

Re: electrolux versus ge profile appliances?
We have all GE Profile appliances - double oven, cooktop, dishwasher, fridge, and warming drawer. They are just under 3 years old and I'm still happy with everything.
My aunt just redid her kitchen and did all Electrolux appliances. She's very happy with them but I believe they are a bit more expensive than the GE Profile.

Re: electrolux versus ge profile appliances?
We have all GE Profile appliances (induction/convection range, french door refrigerator, microwave & dishwasher.)
The main reason we went with the GE Profile series was because we already owned the dishwasher (purchased it years ago because it was one of the highest rated) and decided to keep the appliances a "suite." (Our kitchen isn't remodeled and is on the small side, so I wanted all the appliances to match.)
We have the following: *Free standing range PHB925SPSS - My complaints: I wish the control panel was backlit or lit up when you touched it. I need to turn on the overhead microwave light to see what I'm doing. The warming draw doesn't work independently; you need to have the oven on in order for it work and it takes 20 minutes or so to warm up. It also doesn't get hot enough for my liking, even on high. (I don't know if all warming draws are like that.) Otherwise I LOVE the induction range and intend to purchase another induction cooktop when we remodel our kitchen (don't know if we'll use GE or not.)
*French Door Refrigerator PFSS9PKYSS - No complaints!
*Dishwasher PDW9980NSS (discontinued and now replaced with PDWT580RSS) - The SmartDispense isn't working in ours at the moment, but I think it's because I unknowingly mixed detergents. (You can't mix those with enzymes and those without. You have to stick with one type of detergent and that's it.) Needless to say, I have to have it serviced. Otherwise it's super quiet! (Nobody would ever know it's running.) And it does a terrific job cleaning and drying.
*Microwave Over the Range JVM1790SK - No complaints. I've used the convection oven numerous times, whether it's for holiday dinners or just to heat up pizza. I love that aspect of it.
ETA: We've had the appliances for a year and a 1/2, excluding the dishwasher which is almost 5 years old.
