Need attorney recommendation. Please don't move...this IS parenting related.
It is for my brother. He has a custody arrangement that states that he is supposed to get his kids every Weds and every other weekend, etc... Well there are way too many times that his ex doesn't want to send the kids for one reason or another, so she just isn't home when he gets there. This has been going on for years. He calls the police and makes report after report, but nothing ever happens to her. At this point, he hasn't seen his kids in 2 months now. Add to that the fact that she is completely unreasonable with him as far as flexing the arrangement for anything for him. Last year, he was in school and couldn't get the kids on Weds eves so he asked if he could see them on Tuesday instead. She said no...which I understand if there was a real reason why, but all they did was sit in aftercare instead of being able to see their dad. My nephew even asked my brother, "Why can't we just come see you on a different day". And my brother just said, "I don't know...ask your mother". This stuff is just the tip of the iceberg.
But I am looking for an attorney who is great with enforcing custody arrangements, and getting the father what he deserves. At this point, because he has seen them so seldom in the past year, it is now "habit" not to see Dad, so the kids are starting to not want to come for visits either, and the manipulative, deceitful mother is using it to her advantage. We want to rectify things before they get worse for my brother's relationship with his kids.

The attorney I used was great. We didn't have any major issues, but I know from others he is a fighter.

We have not used her(yet) , but I have heard great things about Sari Friedman...She specializes in fathers rights and parental alienation cases...So sorry he is going through this, unforunately we know this situation all too well

Where is your brother located? Which county?
He is in Nassua, but the mom lives in Suffolk. And to complicate things, the mother is Nassau PD so she throws her weight around a lot. The last time they were at my brother's, she called the police and said the children were being held against their will b/c the daughter called her mother saying she wanted to go home and my brother said no.

I'm sorry, I have no recommendations - but I wanted to say I am so sorry your brother has to deal with this. I am so sad for he and the children and I hope someone is able to help him.

This is my area of law. I do have some names. Off the top of my head, Cliff Petroske is a good father's rights attorney. If you FM me, I can try to think of some others.
