heartburn
I have SUCH a pain for the last two days under the center of my breastbone. Is this where heartburn hurts ? I never had it with #1. UGH, if this is what feels like,it sucks.
what does everyone take for it?

Tums. I've been getting bad heartburn on and off throughout my 3rd tri. It literaly feels like burning in your chest and throat. It's very umcomfortable.

I've been taking Tums....which are starting to not work...I THINK my Dr said pepcid was ok at my last appointment, but Im not sure...I plan to call in the morning to see...
Heartburn can feel like a burning, shooting pain up you esophagus, or even like pressure in you esophagus...I've never had it below my breastbone, but if its a burning feeling it could def be hearburn...

Thankfully I haven't had heartburn yet during this pregnancy but in the past milk has helped me. I also hear almonds help and apple cider vinegar (which you would think would make things worse but people swear it helps).

thanks ladies. I googled (of course) & it says heartburn can go below the breastbone but I don't know it's so weird. I'm going to pop tums like candy & see what that does.

I had the worst heartburn with DS. You can ONLY take Tums, not rolaids. Milk helps too. Could it be gas also?

i take pepcid ac pills daily. I take 1 or 2 a day. this lowers the acid production.
then i take tums to combat the times i do feel heartburn.
I also drink milk and that helps.
I find that the combo of all 3 help me a lot.
I've had bad heartburn issues before ever being pregnant. So it's really bad for me now.

Me too.... Pepcid did NOTHING for me. Zantac is like a miracle!!!!

I get it here too. I've had it throughout my 3rd trimester. I take tums but I think I need to get Zantac.

I have tums, but haven't taken it yet. I drink milk or eat some ice cream.. and it gives me some relief.
