Re: Did You/Are You getting dressed fancy for your shower?
I wore a very loose stretchy dress that I left in the car because my shower was a surprise. It was one of those things you could curl into a ball and won't wrinkle.
Since I'm in hiding I won't post pics but mine wasn't long and I do wish it was longer!

i dont plan on it b/c i think that dresses dont flatter the belly JMO ...and it doesnt show off the belly. I will probably either wear a skirt or a pair of pants.

Re: Did You/Are You getting dressed fancy for your shower?
I originally bought a dress for my shower and then ended up wearing jean capri's with a nicer top and very cute wedges. I decided against the dress because I pictured myself opening presents and everyone being able to see up my dress. Unfortunately I didn't think about that sooner or I probably would have bought a long dress, but I had a shorter dress picked out for the shower and then really just thought about the presents the day before and went out and bought a nice top to go with capri's. I was so comfortable and was not under dressed at all. My shower was at a restaurant, so maybe if it was at a nicer hall it would have been under dressed, but it was perfect actually for my shower. I didn't know where my shower was before we got there so I did clear it with my mom to make sure I wouldn't be too under dressed, and she said "as long as I am most comfortable, it doesn't matter what I wear".

I almost wish I didn't wear a dress for this reason. It isn't really flattering and made me look more wide and not pregnant. That and when I was opening gifts there were a few pics you can see my panties! Opps
If I were to do it again I would have worn black leggings with a dressy top or a form fitting dress. Most dresses made me look bulky and heavy.

I wanted to wear a dress, but I couldn't dare to show my swollen ankles and feet to anyone......plus the swelling has pretty much limited my shoe options to sneakers or uggs slides.
I wore flowy black pants and a pretty top. I was comfy!

I didn't WANT to wear a dress, but after literally over two months of looking for a top to wear and not finding ANYTHING ... I'm wearing a dress. I'm not happy about it, but what can I do? I have nothing else!

I tried on a bunch of dresses and they just looked awful on me. I wound up wearing black leggings and a long tightish purple top and knee high flat boots.

I wore a dress with black tights and had no issues. One dress was from Old Navy and the other was a dress from a friend (prob from one of the maternity stores).

I wore a dress that was fitted and showed my belly and hit right above my knee. I felt it flattered me and I wasnt uncomfortable at all.

I wore maternity black leggings and a nice blouse/shirt. It was a sprinkle and it was a Sunday brunch.

Re: Did You/Are You getting dressed fancy for your shower?
For my shower when I was pregnant with DD, I had plans for a really cute sundress but when it came down to it, all I could manage was black capris and a cute top. It was really hot, I was 34 weeks and my legs looked like tree trunks from the swelling. I was comfortable and I knew i wouldnt have been in a dress. I am still sad I didnt wear the dress though!

Re: Did You/Are You getting dressed fancy for your shower?
I'm wearing a dress, in June, and totally forgot about people being able to see up the dress! Maybe I'll buy a pair of shorts or something to go under it!

Re: Did You/Are You getting dressed fancy for your shower?
I wore a dress to my first one... I was very conscious with the "seeing up my skirt" while opening gifts...
for this one, we had a little sprinkle at my house and I just wore jeans and a nice top... totally could have done that to the first one too!

I'm on the hunt now for a dress.
I think it's what you are comfortable with in the end.
For me, a shower is a special event and therefore I MUST wear a dress.

With my first pregnancy I wore a dress and there are quite a few picks where you can see my panties. Nice. In my defense, it was August and there was no way I was going to wear pants.

Re: Did You/Are You getting dressed fancy for your shower?
My shower is in June and I plan to wear a dress unless I really really really don't want to show my legs. In that case I will go with a long top and leggings.

Re: Did You/Are You getting dressed fancy for your shower?
I will more than likely wear a dress. If it were at a house or in a backyard, then maybe not, but since we'll be in a restaurant or hall (not sure where it is, just know it's one of those), I feel compelled to wear a dress.

Re: Did You/Are You getting dressed fancy for your shower?
I wore a dress with a flowy bottom - it wasn't even maternity, I bought the smallest size from Avenue (a plus-sized store) and it worked. No wardrobe malfunctions at all!
