Which kid would you leave at home?
We are going down to the DC area for a long weekend to look explore moving there later this year. Two families are also going to check out the cherry blossom festival. They both have toddler kids that are 2yo old.
DH and I both think it would be too hard to take both a 2yo and a newborn while checking out neighborhoods and preschools.
I originally thought it would be easier to take the NB and leave 2yo DS with my mom. DH thinks it would be better to take older DS with us and leave the NB with my mom. He doesn't want to expose the NB to unnecessary germs.
Which child would you leave at home? Would you take both?

As long as Mom (and I) could handle it and Mom was totally willing, I would leave NB home.

Me too. Some time alone with your toddler would probably be great, considering all the changes at home with a new baby. We frequently left NB at home when we went to events, birthday parties etc while I was on maternity leave.

I would leave the NB at home, without a doubt.
