Definitely DIY!!!! IMO it wasn't worth it to pay someone all of that money for something I could easily do myself. Plus I enjoy painting. It's relaxing.

Both. For the bedrooms and family room, we did it ourselves. For our kitchen, dining room, living room and foyer we hired someone (we had really high ceilings).

Us too!
we moved into this house in late 2006 and we have just completed painting the final room.
DH is a DIY kinda person and we have handy family for projects. I enjoy painting so we all make a good team
