Multiple Registry Question
So, I'm sure I'm not the only one registering at multiple places.
I've decided to go with Amazon.com, BRU and BBB.
I'm assuming that I should/can register the same item at each place? Like, my high chair, for example... it's available at BRU and Amazon. It's cheaper at Amazon, so I want to give my guests that option by listing it there, but also list it at BRU for those who don't shop online. Amazon's Universal Registry, as far as I can tell, lets you list an item from an outside website, but when you click on it, it brings you to BRU to purchase the item. So, I have to list it TWICE in order for the Amazon price to come up. The problem is... if someone buys the high chair in the store, it won't come off Amazon at all, right?
Is there a way to link all your registries so if you buy something at BBB, it comes off BRU and Amazon?
I'm assuming not, but it can't hurt to ask.
Any suggestions on how to better "work" the registries without stalking them?
TIA! (sorry so long...)

Re: Multiple Registry Question
as far as i know the only way to do it is to keep on top of your registries and if someone buys your high chair on amazon, you have to go to your BRU registry and take it off yourself. that's what I think, anyway.

Re: Multiple Registry Question
I would put the items on the registry that they are less expensive for and leave it at that.
i wouldn't double register for anything. it would be too much trouble and work for you to be stalking the registries and deleting stuff as the other item is bought. Just seems like too much unnecessary work to me.
I have 2 registries. I didn't duplicate items.

Re: Multiple Registry Question
I had 3 registries also and didn't put the same items on different registries. We found where they were least expensive and put them there. People can get the item at one of the other stores if it's more convenient and then call the other store to remove it from the registry. I think a few of my Baby Shower guests did this. Unfortunately there's no way to link them that I know of. Good Luck!

Same here. Except we had 2 registries.

Re: Multiple Registry Question
I did the same 3 - BRU, BBB, and Amazon. I did duplicate items that are cheaper, but just on Amazon. So most of my items are on BRU and BBB, but if I found them for the same price or cheaper on Amazon I put them on there as well. I did it this way because I think my guests will mostly go to BRU or use Amazon. They don't link, so the only way to manage it is to stay on top of your registries. Luckily, if I'm not stalking my registries, my sister is. She's been telling me what to take off and what not.
As for the Amazon registry, I wouldn't put items on it twice - once from Amazon and one using the universal registry that allows you to put items from other sites on it. I feel like that would confuse guests.
