childbirth & Breastfeeding classes?
I just looked up classes at winthrop and the childbirth class is $175. My husband has been laid off and we just cannot afford this...are there any free classes we can take?

Ask your ob's office. My doctor's office offers these services free through the practice.

I believe BRU does a free breastfeeding class, but Im not 100% sure...I would give them a call to find out the details.

Re: childbirth & Breastfeeding classes?
They were good to take, but if you cannot afford them right now, I wouldn't stress about them.
I took both... honestly, for Breast-feeding, the best thing was taking advantage of all the LC at the hospital, Winthrop has amazing ones, and there is 1 on at every shift and them helping me really made our Breastfeeding expierence flawless!
Good Luck!

I know BRU has Breastfeeding classes pretty regularly, and they are free.

Re: childbirth & Breastfeeding classes?
The breastfeeding class through winthrop is 40 bucks. I am taking that one next month. I took a childbirth class through my obs office, which was pretty pricey. It was informative, but I feel like I pretty much knew everything already that they went over - I wouldnt stress about not doing the childbirth class.

I took the same class and have to agree. There is tons of information on the internet that you can use to prepare no need for the pricey classes. Much of what was covered I had read on the web.
