How hard was the adjustment for those that are SAHM to working mom?

Need some advice/inspiration.

I've been home with the kids for over 3 years now and plan to take a different career path if all goes well when i return to work- which will probably be soon.

For those that were SAHMs and went back to work after several years - how was your transition?

Our whole plan was for me to return to work after the kids were in school and boy did the years fly by fast. Part of me is scared, excited, nervous, anxious to get back into work and i hope it will be a smooth transition.

Part of me feels like I gave so much of myself to be home with the kids the last couple years and I honestly loved it - and i guess im just a bit scared about being able to handle all the new responsbilities at work, home and the kids especially when it can be so demanding at times already. I think part of it is accepting that its my time to get back to work and doing something for myself again...

this was my plan too, although I'm trying to figure out a work at home thing
