How are things progressing? What are have you started? What products/brands have you used?
I have had luck so far, and it's only been a few days.
I have planted:

Re: For those growing little seedlings indoors for now...w/pics
i will take pics tonight of my first round. Mine are going to get transplanted this weekend into a large tub with grow lights (i am sure my neighbors will call the cops on me.) I am going to start my next round next week.
Cool thing is since I get one free class per semester and can't use it to take photography classes i will be taking horticulture classes starting next semester and my dad just purchased a personal greenhouse!

Started my tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, eggplant.
For flowers I started, marigolds (small one), red marigolds, giant marigolds (2 ft tall), petunias, morning glories.
I have to get going on my salads. I will start my peppers soon.
I have to take pics. I am using the same system as yours. this year.

When did you start with seedlings? Is it too late for me to start?
I just want to do some herbs.

not too late at all. I just started 3 days ago.
I picked up a brand called "Jiffy" that comes with the soil already and they are all in their little designated spots in an egg-crate kind of thing (see pic above). Then you just add warm water, allow pellets to expand, and then add your seeds, which you buy separate. You put the cover on and keep them out of light for a bit, until the first sprouts start...sprouting.
I can't believe how quick mine are growing. The system I bought was $7 @ Lowes. When they get bigger, you transplant them to the outdoors or to a bigger pot. It seems (so far) pretty fail-proof.
I just hope it continues!
I would like to do mint or chamomile...maybe basil. (I started with just flowers to see how that would work)

Yes.
I have to take pics later.
They have special one for Tomatoes.
Just make sure to "harden" your transplants for 1 week before transplanting in the ground. Leave them out in the sun all day then take them back in at night. I made the mistake not to do that 2 years ago (hence I did not do from seeds last year) and my transplants died in 10 minutes. Alll of them.
