Hi! I am new here to this board with lots of questions!

I found out today that I am newly pregnant. Very early, but definitely PG.
I had a blood test and Urine test to confirm.

I was hoping that you ladies would be able to recommend an OB.

I live in the Town of Babylon. I probably should start thinking of where I want to deliver. (wow, this sounds surreal that I am actually saying this)

I do NOT want to go to Good Sam. I would LOVE to deliver at Huntington Hospital or Winthrop but, I am thinking that may be too far and unrealsitic for me. Do you?

I have so many questions, as this is all new to me and I am sure I will be on here ALOT.

Oh, also when did you come out and tell your friends/family? I am thinking of waiting a few months. I hear this is the norm.

Thank you so much!

It might depend on where you doctor delivers, are are you looking to change doctors?

Congrats and Welcome!!! We told our parents pretty much right away because DH couldn't keep it in. We told immediate family at 6 weeks and 8 weeks. We told everyone else at like 13-14 weeks when I was in my second trimester.

Congratulations!!!!!

I'm delivering at Southside (I know it's not Town of Bab, but it's 5 min from Good Sam). They just redid their maternity ward.

I told my parents and best friend when we were like 4.5 weeks and DH's parents when we were 5 weeks. We told everyone else around 10-11 weeks.

Hi!
I go to WI Comprehensive and they use Good Sam. I'm on the fence about this hospital...I have friends that loved their experience and others had issues.

welcome and congrads!!!

I dunno if you would travel this far, but I use contemporary women's care and will most likely deliver at st. catherine's in smithtown. I've always gone there for all sorts of stuff and never had an issue with them.

Re: Hi! I am new here to this board with lots of questions!

Congratulations!!!

I live in TOB as well. I use Dr. Zandieh in Bethpage. His office is on Hempstead Tpke right off the Bethpage Parkway. He is great and delivers at Winthrop.

When I was pregnant with DS I used Dr. Wagner/Dr. Goldman of WGM Obstestrics and Gynecology. They deliver at Huntington. I was really happy with this practice and happy with my experience at Huntington, but their office is in Northport and Huntington. And that was just too far to drive to for my appointments.

My SIL lived in Queens and they went to Bethpage to deliver 5 times. Talk to the Doctor you feel comfortable with and decide with them. Chat Icon
