When to pack a hospital bag?

When did you pack a hospital bag? I think I need to get moving on this. I'm 35 w 2 d.

I would definitely have one ready Kristin...about 35-36 weeks is when I plan to have it ready just to be prepared!

I'm just a little bit behind you and I haven't packed one yet, I'm thinking of doing it this weekend. I keep meaning to collect supplies and what not, but time gets away from me.

The earlier the better. As a btdt mom, let me tell you I was so surprised when my water broke 2.5 weeks EARLY and I didnt have m y bag ready.

Once my water broke at 3am I threw whatever PJ's I could find in a bookbag and ran out the door lol. My hubby had to go back to the house at some point and get the rest of my things.

I am a procastinator I am 38w 2 days and mine is still not packed.

Guess I'll do this before I head to the Dr and work this afternoon.

I am 36 weeks tomorrow and we'll probably pack either this weekend or next!

We we started having preterm labor at 31wks so I packed then for me and her being in the NICU. Then at 36w2d my water broke and I repacked the whole thing. I was glad I did that and it really didn't take long. I knew what I wanted and needed. I also made a list so that helped as well. Plus DH and my mom could always go home and get what I needed.

I started around 34-35 weeks. I still have a few last minute things to put in there though.

Um, I'm 37w4d and I'm still not packed although I did wash some of the clothes I'm planning to bring and bought most of the items I'm bringing. I don't know why but I just can't get into packing!

With DS I never had it packed because I was procrastinating. When my water broke at 30 1/2 weeks I ran around and packed. I had it "packed" in my mind so I knew everything I needed.

apparently, I'm neurotic. I'm 31 weeks today, and already partially packed. Have a few more items to get, and need to organize the way it's packed, but could conceivably be ready with what I have.

Defintely pack it now. My water broke at 32 weeks and obviously i did not think i would go into labor at 32 weeks. Of course i talked about having my bag packed by 30 weeks. Never did it. Had to rush to the hospital and DH had to leave me there that night to pack a bag for me and then come back. better to be prepared!

Did mine at 35 weeks...of course I still have a few little things that I need to add to it, but not the end of the world if I don't have them...my mom can bring those items if I find I really need them. The only thing I HAVE to remember is the phone charger...I keep meaning to buy an extra but it doesn't happen. Fortunately DH and I have the same phone so we only need one.

I would pack it now. With my last pregnancy, my water broke at home at 38w and I mostly had my bag packed but did not have everything in it. this time I plan to be completely packed before 37 weeks.

I turned 36 weeks on Friday and I packed mine Saturday.

I packed mine around 34-35 weeks....this way I had time to add to it if I thought of anything that needed to be added to it

I am probably going to pack mine 1 month prior to due date. I would rather have it packed and just sitting there then run around last minute.

Im gonna have mine packed by 30 weeks, im having too many complications and the OB thinks this one will be very early.
With DD pregnancy, a normal pregnancy with no complication, i would have one ready by 34/35 weeks.

I packed mine @ 34 weeks which worked out well bc I went into preterm labor @ 35 weeks

I am almost 35 weeks and I just started to get a mental list ready this weekend. I need to make a target run and pick up some travel-sized items, I will do that in the next 2 weeks or so just in case.

As a BTDT.... I will say have a list of "things you cant pack until the day of"

I had a list on my fridge and when I was in labor I was able to calmly grab the last minute essentials without freaking I was missing something.

I had things on that list like
cell phone charger
camera/camera charger
FLIP video camera
Certain makeup items I didnt have spares of
Pillow

I didn't pack mine until 39 weeks. I was lucky that I was late.


#2 I packed the day they told me I had 2 days to come in. (37 weeks)

I packed my bag last week, around 36.5 weeks. Be sure to put it in your car! With my first pg, I had my bag packed at home and was sent from my 39 week appt to the hospital, but had to go ALL the way home first to get my bag.
