Girls at the end who are still working..
How do you do it?!? I'm 35 weeks and it's becoming more and more uncomfortable by the day. I don't know how I'm still working. How do you get through the day? They drag even more now. I'm trying to make it to my due date so I can spend as much time with my LO as possible but this is hard. I really dont know how I'm going to last another 5 weeks!

Re: Girls at the end who are still working..
With my first pregnancy I worked right up till the day I went into labor and I hope to do the same this time around. For me, the key was staying active. I tried to do this my whole pregnancy. I was never one to exercise at all, but I have a lot of energy and always tried to maintain the same level of activity throughout the whole 9 months. Fortunately, my job is one that allows me to stay very active, moving around a lot. I don't know what kind of work you do, but if you have a desk job, try taking a break at least once an hour, walk around a little, stretch your legs. I never really felt uncomfortable if I stayed active. It was only once I was still for a while that my body would start to ache and feel worn out. Hang in there, you're so close!

I am very active at the gym! I'm still going 4-5 times a week and you're completely right- exercise helps tremendously. I'm a lot less active at work though and that's where it gets hard. I do have a desk job. I definitely have to get up more during work and walk around. Sitting is the absolute worst. I never sit this much ever, at home I'm always moving around and I'm a very active person in general so I hate not doing anything. It's work where if gets so hard!

Re: Girls at the end who are still working..
This is going to be my last week. I'll be 38 weeks. Most likely will be induced @ 39 weeks, so it'll give me a week off. I teach 1st grade and have been sitting a lot, giving the kids more jobs to do, which they love. With my 1st, I worked until 37 weeks. I have no idea how everybody works up until the end. I'm exhausted and not sleeping at night!

Re: Girls at the end who are still working..
It gets harder and harder as the weeks go on. I finally gave in and told them I am going out April 1. My due date is April 13. Last week was such a struggle I dunno how I am going to make it these last 2 weeks. At the end if the day I am physically and mentally exhausted and I feel like it's in the best interest for my baby and I that go out early and take care of us. I feel like a failure that I couldn't make it to the end

Re: Girls at the end who are still working..
Ugh.
I am a teacher and this is the CRAZIEST time for me at work (ELA exam coming up).
I am usually ok but 3pm comes and then I have to drive 40 mins, pick up my 2 year old and then get her home, out of the car, settled, dinner, playtime, bath etc before DH gets home.
I literally CRASH the second he walks in the door and he has been dealing with dinner cause my whole body just hurts.
With DD I had BP and swelling issues and we had 2 weeks off for the holidays that year so I stopped working at like 36 weeks.
This time I NEED to work until the last possile second for multiple reasons. I am due the thurday after Easter and I WISH I could just say I am not coming back after spring break but that is not an option right now.
EEK.

Re: Girls at the end who are still working..
I'm only 32 weeks and i Have no idea how I'm going to make it the next 8 weeks! I'm on my feet all day long and it is just now becoming nearly impossible. I def don't want to cut into my maternity leave so I'm just gonna suck it up until she arrives!! Good luck to us all!!

I am with you....I'm also a teacher and am 35 weeks. I think staying active during the day is helping to make the days go faster, but I'm SO exhausted by 3:00 that I can barely keep my eyes open and my feet look deformed from being on them all day. I just keep reminding myself that it's the home stretch. Hang in there ladies.
