Anyone here draw up plans and have permits made out by the town before finishing their basements? I was just told by the building division that I need an architect's seal on my plans and then it could take 6-8 weeks or longer!! I am sure the architect is going to be $$$$.
We are expanding our current half-bath and adding a new electrical line-so it would be nice to have it inspected by an independent professional.
I am also thinking of what happens if we don't pull the permits now and we go to sell it-will the town/bank make us rip it apart?
