Registering at Walmart?
Ugh, I hate to even mention this. I had to run there today to get a new cordless phone, and I went to the baby section and fell in LOVE with a pack and play and a car seat system and a high chair, and they were all significantly cheaper than BRU.
How tacky is this? Can I just add a few big ticket items to a walmart registry, or should I just find something I like at BRU?
eta: They were all name brand. Graco, I believe. The pack and play was a real pack and play and the car seat was a Snugride.

Re: Registering at Walmart?
nothing wrong with this. I registered here to get a percentage off one item that was just too much money at both BBB and BRU. If its a brand you trust no problem

Re: Registering at Walmart?
Don't feel bad for liking what you like. When I was researching registry's I found both walmart and target to be less expensive than BRU. The breast pump and the furniture set I like are actually from walmart and I do have a BRU registry. Your family & friends will not judge you for your choice in a registry.

Re: Registering at Walmart?
There is really nothing wrong with registering at Walmart. They have some great deals. As long as you do your research, I think its a great option. Personally, I moved away from L.I. and there is a Walmart right near me...they even have carter's clothes for cheaper than BBB and BRU. I wouldn't hesitate to register there if I had family on L.I. but all my family is in Brooklyn, so its far for them to get to one....

Re: Registering at Walmart?
Did you look on Amazon also? I almost always purchase shower gifts there, then call the store to remove the item from the registry. I usually pretend my 90 yr old gramdmother bought it and she was confused
Amazon prices are usually significantly cheaper, and you can register there too!
But honestly, nothing wrong at all with Wal-Mart. I might go check it out b/c I'm not a huge fan of the infant seat/PNP patters I see at BBB and BRU.

Re: Registering at Walmart?
I registered on amazon b/c a lot of my bigger items were cheaper and free shipping. I just put doubles in case people do not like to buy online and will watch and take off as someone buys fromw hichever registry
